A honeycomb structure (1) includes filter cellular walls (12) demarcating the inlet and outlet cells (10,11) and having pores of average diameter 20-40 mu m, and a catalytic layer. The catalytic layer has catalyst supports (2,3) consisting of porous oxide with an average particle diameter of 1 mu m and (1/20-1/2) of average pore diameter of cellular walls, respectively. An independent claim is also included for filter catalyst manufacturing method. |
