The front sub-frame (2) has at least 2 longitudinal supports (4,5) with a shock absorber extending in the transverse direction infront of the penetration space between the supports provided by a flexible multi-layer fibre band (17). The ends (19,20) of the fibre band are attached to the free ends of (10,11) of the longitudinal supports via a number of fixing elements, each providing a point fixing.
