A communication system (1) comprises a user terminal (4), a data providing means (2), and a means for adapting data to the handedness (i.e. whether left-handed or right-handed) of a user. In one embodiment, the user terminal (4) negotiates with the data providing means (2). In another embodiment, a handedness proxy server (14) negotiates with the data providing means (2). In another embodiment, a handedness proxy server (14) receives the data and adapts it to the handedness of the user prior to transmitting it to the user terminal (4). In another embodiment, a handedness proxy server (14) intercepts and adapts a request from the user terminal (4) prior to forwarding the request to the data providing means (2).
