<p>Cationic azo compounds (I) are new. Cationic azo compounds of formula (I) are new. W1-N=N-W2-NW3-W4-W5 (I) W1 = a heteroaromatic onium group of formula (II) or (III) having no more than two contiguous heteroatoms; W2, W4 = divalent aromatic or pyridine groups of formula (IV) or (V); W3 = H or 1-6C alkyl optionally substituted with OH, alkoxy, NH2 or 1-4C (di)alkylamino; W5 = N-bonded pyrazolyl, pyrrolyl, imidazolyl, triazolyl or thiadiazolyl, all optionally substituted with Cl, F, A or Ar; A = 1-6C alkyl optionally substituted with OH, 1-4C alkoxy, 2-4C (poly)hydroxyalkoxy, NH2, 1-4C (di)alkylamino, 2-4C (poly)hydroxyalkylamino, COOH, sulfonyl, 1-4C alkoxycarbonyl or 1-4C thioether; Ar = phenyl optionally substituted with OH, 1-2C alkoxy, NH2, 1-2C (di)alkylamino, COOH, sulfonyl, 1-4C alkyl, halo or 1-2C thioether. Z1 = O, S, NR2 or CR3; Z2 = N or CR4; Z3 = NR12 or CR13; Z4 = N or CR14; Z5 = N or CR15; X = an anion; R1, R2, R9, R12 = optionally substituted phenyl or 1-8C alkyl optionally substituted with OH, 1-2C alkoxy, 2-4C (poly)hydroxyalkoxy, NH2 or 1-4C (di)alkylamino; R5-R8 = H, Cl, Br or optionally halogenated (un)saturated 1-8C (cyclo)alkyl, optionally with one or more C atoms replaced with O, N, S or SO2; R3, R4, R10, R11, R13, R14, R15 = H or optionally halogenated (un)saturated 1-16C (cyclo)alkyl, optionally with one or more C atoms replaced with O, N, S or SO2, or R14+R15 can form an aromatic carbocycle. Independent claims are also included for: (1) composition for dyeing human keratinic fibers, comprising at least one compound (I); (2) direct dyeing of human keratinic fibers by applying at least one composition as above; (3) oxidation dyeing of human keratinic fibers by applying at least one composition as above, which also includes at least one developer and optionally at least one coupler, in the presence of an oxidizing agent; (4) kit comprising a composition as above in one compartment and an oxidizing agent in another compartment.</p> |
