<p>Dryer (1) used for drying objects, especially motor vehicle bodies, comprises a housing (2) containing a drying room, a fresh air connection (15), a waste air connection (21), and at least one catalytic radiator (5) having at least one combustion gas connection, a catalytically active layer fed with combustion gas and at least one combustion air connection (14) connected via an air guide to the catalytically active layer. The fresh air connection is exclusively connected to the catalytic radiator combustion air connection so that, apart from unavoidable leakages of the housing, the entire quantity of fresh air is guided as combustion air over the catalytic radiator. The catalytic radiator is heat-resistant and thus requires no air cooling. An Independent claim is also included for a process for operating a dryer used for drying objects, especially motor vehicle bodies.</p> |
