Adhesive film useful for temporary protection of a wide range of surfaces, comprises an adhesive layer comprising two defined polymer components Protective adhesive film comprises a support layer and an adhesive layer comprising: (a) low-density polyethylene, an ethylene/C3-8 olefin copolymer, an ethylene/propylene/diene copolymer, an ethylene/vinyl acetate copolymer, an ethylene/acrylic copolymer, a styrene/ethylene-butylene/styrene copolymer, a styrene/butadiene/styrene copolymer, a styrene/isoprene/styrene copolymer, an ethylene/styrene copolymer and/or a tackifying resin; and (b) poly-1-butene and/or a block copolymer comprising at least two monovinyl aromatic hydrocarbon polymer blocks and at least one hydrogenated conjugated diene polymer block. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a process for producing the adhesive film, comprising coextrusion of the support layer and adhesive layer; and (2) an article covered with the adhesive film.
