Self locking safety clamp

A safety clamp 112 for use within a fall arrest system, in which safety clamp 112 in operation is clamped around a scaffold pole 102, configured to self lock around the scaffold pole 102. The safety clamp 112 comprises a first collar section 202 and a second collar section 203 configured to swing relative to each other about a spring loaded hinge 204, which is configured to self close the first collar section 202 and the second collar section 203 together in a closed configuration. The safety clamp 112 further comprises an automatic locking mechanism 207 configured to releasably self lock the first collar section 202 and the second collar section 203 together in the closed configuration.
