The scaffolding element (16) is composed of a tubular section (14) provided with a number of radially projecting sockets (17) for coupling to the end of a horizontal scaffolding crosspiece. The manufacturing method comprises shaping a plane metal band and stamping it flat in several regularly spaced places so as to form dihedral imprints with a rounded edge.
