Adhesion promoting additive from an unsaturated, amorphous polyester

An adhesion promoting composition comprises at least one unsaturated amorphous polyester comprising at least one alpha,beta-unsaturated dicarboxylic acid component and an alcohol component comprising a mixture of dicidol isomers. An adhesion pormoting composition (I) comprises at least one unsaturated amorphous polyester comprising at least one alpha,beta-unsaturated dicarboxylic acid component and an alcohol component whereby the alcohol component is a dicidol mixture of isomers of 3,8-bis(hydroxymethyl)tri-cyclo(5.2.1.02,6)decane, 4,8-bis(hydroxymethyl)tricyclo (5.2.1.02,6)decane or 5,8-bis(hydroxymethyl)tricyclo(5.2.12,6)decane such that each isomer comprises 20-40% of the mixture and the sum of three isomers is 90-100% and where the mixture comprises at least 5% of the alcohol component.
