An apparatus for facilitating the connection of tubulars using a top drive, the apparatus comprising a motor for rotating a tool for drivingly engaging a tubular, and a suspension unit for connecting the motor to the top drive, the apparatus being such that, in use, the motor can rotate one tubular with respect to another to connect the tubular.
