A housing can be fitted on the support base in two positions antagonistic by a rapid installation method positioned hermetically to the load. In one of these positions hidden hermetically from the load and carrying tube when the Bengal light is not in use, there is a handling sleeve for the Bengal light, leaving space totally free and in view of the carbon tube for the load, so that on ignition of the smoke-producing/light-producing load maximum operative efficiency is obtained and an important improvement in luminous performance.
