PURPOSE: A method for manufacturing green tea rice ball wrapped with laver(nokcha kimbap) by cooking rice with a green tea extract and wrapping the cooked rice in a dried laver sheet is provided. The product is rich in nutrition and good palatability and thus is useful as a staple food, a between-meal snack or a health food. CONSTITUTION: To make 300g rice ball wrapped with laver for one person, 1.8L water is cooked with 1kg rice and 6g treated green tea leaf. The treated green tea leaf is prepared by spreading a green tea leaf on a kettle, pouring with 200cc clear strained rice wine and 1 tablespoon seasoned salt, steaming for 10 to 15min and then roasting with sesame seed oil after cooling. The cooked rice using the treated green tea leaf is wrapped in a dried laver sheet.
