PURPOSE: An oil/water interface detector of a storage tank is provided to prevent accident caused by an erroneous operation of a worker by automatically controlling a valve plate coupled with a detector. CONSTITUTION: An oil/water interface detector includes a storage tank(10) and a valve(20) provided at an uppermost portion thereof with a detector(50). A valve inlet(30) is positioned at an upper part of the valve(20) so as to support a guide bar(51) of the detector(50) installed in the valve(20). A plate is installed at an inner portion of the valve(20) and one side of the plate is fixed to a shaft. The shaft is coupled to a lever(27) having a pendulum(271). The plate closes a valve opening due to a tare of the pendulum(271) of the lever(27). A seal and a pad are fixed to an upper surface of the plate.
