A METHOD FOR OBTAINING PLASTIC SCINTILLATORS

A method for obtaining plastic scintillators involves polymerization of vinyl aromatic monomer, activating admixture, admixture displacing the spectrum of luminescence during heating and optional cooling the obtained scintillator to the ambient temperature. The original mixture of components is preliminarily prepolymerized till monomer conversion of 45 %. Thereafter, performed is graduated after polymerization of the obtained sample, and the obtained scintillator is optionally cooled directly after the second maturing to the room temperature.
