A differential mechanism with ZolotovÆs brake relates to the transmissions of vehicles, tractors, tanks, etc. Its inner satellites are simultaneously connected to teeth of the driving and the driven pinions, those are rigidly installed on the axles; at that at those axles there are rigidly installed the outer satellites with toothed crowns, the outer satellites are connected to the control pinions through toothed crowns, the control pinions and the planet carrier are spanned by brake. At that one installs and uses either simultaneously three claw clutches, or it is possible to use simultaneously two claw clutches, or one clutch only. This invention can provide up to nine gear ratios.
