A stabilizing arm 10, pivoted by a pin 11 to a bracket 12 rotatably mounted on a vertical pin 7, is provided with a hingedly mounted shoe 8 and may be raised, for example, by a fluid cylinder 19. The bracket 12 may be locked by a pin and hole connection so that the shoe 8 is in one of at least three positions A, B or C, see also Fig. 7 (not shown). In modifications the vehicle is provided with such rest bars at different positions on the vehicle and the arms thereof may be operated to fold transversely inwards or along the sides of the vehicle and in their operative positions may lift a wheel axle from the ground.</p> |
