The sealing joint (1) which ensures sealing between a casing (2) and a shaft comprises a ring shaped armature (3) which carries a sealing material (13) forming a sealing lip (4,5) towards the inside of the joint. A removable cylindrical ring protector (6) located inside the joint is able to leave the inside of the joint when it is subjected to a force of determined intensity in a direction parallel to the joint axis of revolution. This automatically releases the lips during the installation of a shaft inside the joint. An Independent claim is included for a torque transmission incorporating the sealing joint.
