<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a brush material for an electrophotographic device constituted so that only the desired parts can be touched and the coming-off of brush yarns can be suppressed. <P>SOLUTION: The brush material is formed of nearly belt-like knitted texture constituted of several brush yarns 12 arranged in parallel and three holding yarns 13 extending in a direction orthogonal to the brush yarns 12. The brush yarns 12 and the holding yarns 13 are respectively manufactured by twisting and bundling several chemical fibers, and by taking the bent of the brush yarn 12 as the root part and successively knitting up from the root part with each holding yarn 13, the root part of the brush yarn 12 is bound. The root part of the brush yarn 12 and each holding yarn 13 are melt and thermally bonded to each other by using ultrasonic wave. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
