INKJET RECORDING INK AND IMAGE FORMATION METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inorganic phosphor which can give an inkjet recording ink suited for jetting with an inkjet printer.

SOLUTION: The inkjet recording ink contains an inorganic phosphor. The inorganic phosphor comprises (1) an inorganic phosphor in which particles having a particle breadth/particle length ratio in the range of 0.5-1 account for at least 60% of the total particles of a group of particles (wherein the particle length is defined as the length of a line between a point a at which x reaches maximum and a point b at which x reaches minimum provided that x is the length of a line from the point a being an arbitrary point on the surface of a particle to the point b, and the particle breadth is defined as the length of a line between a point a at which the x reaches minimum and a point b), (2) an inorganic phosphor having a specific surface area of at least 5 m2/g, and (3) an inorganic phosphor having at least two surface roughnesses defined as (the specific surface area of an objective particle)/(the specific surface area of a sphere having a specific gravity and a mean particle diameter which are the same as those of the objective particle).
