ELECTRIC WIRE AND METHOD FOR MARKING IT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric wire whereon a mark formed on its outer surface is easily recognized, and to provide a method of marking it.

SOLUTION: The electric wire 3 is provided with a core wire 4 and a coated part 5. A mark 23 comprising a plurality of points 21 is formed on the outer surface 5a of the coated part 5. A plurality of the points 21 are spirally disposed with an axial core Q as a center. Twisting is applied to the electric wire 3 in advance and it is moved along the longitudinal direction of the wire. A colorant is jetted toward the outer surface 5a of the electric wire 3 by a fixed amount.
