PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a metal carrier manufacturing method for temporarily welding a core so as to prevent generation of rolling-up when press-fitting the core and an outer cylinder in advance, and preventing defecting welding during the heat treatment without requiring any additional appliance. SOLUTION: In the metal carrier manufacturing method, a core body 1a and a brazing filler metal foil 2 are temporarily welded by the circumferential seam welding S, and a core 1 is press-fitted in an outer cylinder 3 and brazed thereto.
