PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cordless telephone system in which a variety of functions of a master unit turned to be highly functional can be used even on a slave unit side which is not turned to be highly functional unlike the master unit. SOLUTION: The cordless telephone system 1 is constituted of the master unit 2 for transmitting and receiving voice signals or the like through a line, having a radio communication part 5 for bidirectionally performing radio communication with a slave unit 3, an operation part 11 for performing various kinds of input, and a display part 12 for performing a variety of display, and the slave unit 3 having a radio communication part 16 for bidirectionally performing the radio communication with the master unit 2, an operation part 18 for performing a variety of input, and a display part 19 for performing the variety of display. Upon receiving the input by radio from the slave unit 3, the master unit 2 operates its own function corresponding to the input from the slave unit 3 and returns a processing result to the slave unit 3 and the processing result in the master unit 2 is displayed at the display part 19 of the slave unit 3.
