PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a door locking holding device which facilitates the locking and unlocking of a door, makes the door openable frontward at a slight angle at the time of unlocking without applying a pulling force to the door, whereby a user can easily open the door in a slightly opened position. SOLUTION: The door locking holding device is provided for a box having a front opening closable with the rotatable door which has one end hinged to the box. The device is formed of door locking holding device main bodies 3 and engaging fixtures 17. The main bodies 3 are attached to upper and lower ends of the inner surface of the door, for holding the locking state of the door on the other end of the door, such that one longitudinal end of each body faces the interior of the door. The engaging fixtures 17 are arranged on opening front ends of the box, respectively. A slide member 9 of the body has a third-step engaging surface 9c which a protruding piece 7c of a claw member 7 abuts on and engages with the engaging surface. Then the tip of a front claw piece 7a engaging with a hole 17b in a plate portion 17a of the engaging fixture 17 forcedly slides the engaging fixture 17 from a locking state in which the engaging fixture 17 recedes in the backside of a notch 5, to thereby unlock the door.
