METHOD FOR PRODUCING AMIDE AMINE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing an amide amine and an amide group-containing surfactant containing a small amount of a diamide and being low in cloudiness. SOLUTION: This method for producing the amide amine is to react a fatty acid with a diamine; the fatty acid is made to react with the diamine in 0.3-0.9 molar times to 1 mole fatty acid at 130-170°C and subsequently at 10-50°C further higher temperature to react the residual diamine. The method for producing the amide group-containing surfactant is to bring the obtained amide amine to be amphoteric, quaternary or oxidized. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
