PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bicycle for generating a large force by a small force to save energy. SOLUTION: Gears 4, 5, 6 and 7 are fitted to a crank body 1, and gears 9 and 10 are fitted to a spindle 12. When the gear 5 is engaged with the gear 9, the gear 4 is rotated in a direction of an arrow. The crank body 2 is retracted by the gear 4 engaged with the crank body 2 in this condition. On the other hand, when the gear 7 is engaged with the gear 10, the gear 6 is engaged with the crank body, and the crank body is expanded. Expansion/contraction can be conducted thereby.
