The blade is of natural rubber with/without synthetic rubber, and has an expanded cellular rubber part with a pimpled layer glued to it with smooth face facing outwards. The sponge part portion of the overall thickness of the blade has been increased, and the thickness of pimples and pimple layer have been reduced, while the ratio of pimple diameter to relative pimple distance has been reduced. The blade is lighter than conventional blades by up to 20%, pref. 10%.
