PURPOSE: A power-saving meter is provided to prevent an error operation of a reader switch by setting a sensing range of the reader switch regardless of an RPM of a counter plate of the power-saving meter. CONSTITUTION: A power-saving meter has a counter drum(10) including plural counter plates(12) displaying metering values as numerical values. An arc groove(14) is formed while being spaced from the central axis of the counter plate(12) positioned at one side of the counter drum(10). A magnet ball(18) is accommodated in the arc groove(14). A reader switch(S) is formed as a sensor generating digital signals. The reader switch(S) is positioned adjacent to the magnet ball(18). The arc groove(14) is formed with an obtuse angle.
