<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a simple and high-reliability clock synchronizing system and a clock synchronizing method which have no need of a multicasting protocol. <P>SOLUTION: The clock synchronizing system uses synchronous packets for a clock synchronizing means between a main apparatus and a remote apparatus for communicating over a network. The main apparatus has a packet sender for generating clock synchronous packets, based on the same clock source, and an interface with the network.
