<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chip antenna and a radio communication apparatus which is possible to transmit and receive in different 2 frequency bands by a single antenna element, and make miniaturization of a portable radio communication apparatus, weight reduction, and cost reduction. <P>SOLUTION: A chip antenna 3 constitutes an antenna part 5 forming a conductor on a substrates for the antenna, includes a 1st antenna 7 showing a 1st resonant frequency and a 2nd antenna 9 showing a 2nd resonant frequency. In the 1st antenna 7, the base end is connected to a feeding terminal 11 and another end is open.
