摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To optimize parts mounting by evaluating the loss of the traveled distance of a mounting head in a return action with high accuracy. <P>SOLUTION: The apparatus for parts mounting comprises a cassette supplying unit 4 arranged such that the extraction positions of a plurality of part cassettes 20 are positioned on a z-axis, and a mounting head 2 that moves in an x-axis direction and a y-axis direction mutually orthogonal in a horizontal plane and attaches parts 12 attracted from the part cassettes 20 with attracting nozzles 2A, 2B to a mounting point on a substrate 15. The z-axis and x-axis are mutually parallel. An optimizing apparatus for parts mounting determines a z-range of a minimum time in the accessible range of the mounting head 2 on the z-axis from the mounting point for each mounting point, within a minimum time needed for the return of the mounting head 2 from the mounting point on the substrate 5 to the cassette supplying unit 4. Then it decides the arrangement of the parts cassettes 20 and mounting order thereof based on the z-range of the minimum time determined for each mounting point. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
