OPTICAL MODULE AND METHOD FOR ADJUSTING OPTICAL MODULE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical module capable of freely adjusting the angle of incidence of light to an optical element in an optical coupling state between an optical fiber and the optical element.

SOLUTION: In either an aligning optical module having a lens for adjusting an optical axis between the optical element and the optical fiber or an aligning optical module having an optical element and an optical fiber with a lens, an optical fiber holder is supported by an optical axis adjusting means composed of a support structure movable along a spherical surface that crosses orthogonally with the optical axis, and the angle of incidence of light made incident on the optical element from the optical fiber is adjusted by moving the optical fiber holder along the spherical surface that crosses orthogonally with the optical axis.
