<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a valve system and an internal combustion engine having the valve system for realizing superior characteristic performance while reducing the size of the system. <P>SOLUTION: A swing arm 21 for engaging with a tip part is arranged in a stem end part of an intake-exhaust valve arranged at a prescribed narrow angle, and is journaled by arranging a base end part of the swing arm 21 outside the narrow angle. A roller tappet 22 having a shaft 24 parallel to a shaft of the base end part is arranged between the base end part and the tip part. A camshaft 11 is arranged in parallel on the opposite side of the intake-exhaust valve to the shaft of the roller tappet 22. A cam lobe is arranged so as to slidable in the shaft direction on the camshaft 11 by opposing the roller tappet 22. A cam 13 having a three-dimensional map is arranged in the cam lobe. An energizing means is arranged in the vicinity of the camshaft 11 for energizing the cam lobe in the camshaft direction so as to be capable of advancing and retreating. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
