PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a useful X-ray detector of a wide dynamic range capable of arbitrarily changing device characteristics associated by making several kinds of gate voltages selectable. SOLUTION: The X-ray detector comprises: a plurality of charge generation elements 130 for generating charges corresponding to the intensity of incident X-rays; a plurality of charge storage capacitors 102 respectively connected to the plurality of charge generation elements; a plurality of switch elements 103 respectively connected to the plurality of charge storage capacitors; a plurality of signal lines 105 connected through the plurality of switch elements to the plurality of charge storage capacitors; an amplifier 111 respectively connected to the plurality of signal lines; a plurality of gate lines 104 connected to the gates of the plurality of switch elements; a gate voltage source 128 for generating two or more kinds of gate ON voltages to be applied to the gates of the switch elements; and a gate scanning drive part 106 for selectively applying the two or more kinds of the gate ON voltages to the gate lines.
