WATERPROOFING STRUCTURE OF CONNECTOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a waterproofing structure of a connector whose parts number is reduced in order to realize cost reduction. SOLUTION: A case 11 and the first connector 13 of an electronic control device 100 have an overlapping structure at a lap portion 15, and a covering member 22 of the second connector 19 covers the lap portion 15 from outside. Both the first connector 13 and the second connector 19 are joined hermetically since a packing 23 is disposed between the covering member 22 and the lap portion 15. Waterproofing is achieved only with the packing 23 between the first connector 13 and the second connector 19. Consequently, a packing between the case 11 and the first connector 13 required hitherto can be saved, and cost reduction becomes possible because of parts number reduction. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
