PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photographic color developing composition having improved stability. SOLUTION: The aqueous photographic color developing composition has pH 7 to 13 and contains: (a) at least 0.0005 mol/L of a color developing agent; (b) at least 0.0005 mol/L of an antioxidant for the above color developing agent; (c) 1 to 25 g/L of a first calcium ion sequestrating agent comprising a polycarboxylic acid or its salt having 2,000 to 100,000 molecular weight; and (d) at least 0.0005 mol/L of a second calcium ion sequestering agent comprising a non-polymeric aminocarboxylic acid, polyphosphonic acid or a salt thereof. The weight ratio of the first calcium ion sequestrating agent to the second calcium ion sequestrating agent ranges from 1:1 to 20:1. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
