POLARIZING PLATE WITH OPTICAL COMPENSATING LAYER AND IMAGE DISPLAY DEVICE USING SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polarizing plate with an optical compensating layer which has superior peelability after being mounted on an image display device and is easy to stick again. SOLUTION: An adhesive layer which meets a condition (I) is formed on both surfaces of the optical compensating layer and a polarizing plate is further laminated on one adhesive layer. The condition (I) is that when the adhesive layer bonding the optical compensating layer and polarizing plate together is an adhesive layer (A) and the other adhesive layer is an adhesive layer (B) for bonding to a glass plate, the adhesive strength of the adhesive layer (A) bonding the optical compensating layer and polarizing plate is >12 N/25 mm and the adhesive strength of the adhesive layer (B) bonding the optical compensating layer and glass plate is 1 to 10 N/25 mm.
