PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pretreatment agent composition affording high washing performance by washing clothes after applied onto them. SOLUTION: The pretreatment agent composition for washing clothes comprises (a) a surfactant, (b) a chelating agent of≤1,000 in molecular weight having each specific calcium-trapping level and calcium stability constant, (c) a chelating agent of≥2,000 in molecular weight having each specific calcium-trapping level and calcium stability constant, and (d) water in specific proportions.
