PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hot-melt adhesive for a cigarette filter plug, having extremely improved properties such as adhesive strength of wrapping paper, and exhibiting excellent coating stability and discoloration resistance in continuous heating when using a filter plug-producing machine. SOLUTION: The hot-melt adhesive for the cigarette filter plug comprises 10-40 pts. wt. saponification product of an ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer having 10-49% saponification degree, 20-50 pts. wt. tackifier resin and 20-50 pts. wt. synthetic wax having 70-110°C softening point. The tackifier resin preferably contains a light-color rosin ester resin and a hydrogenated petroleum resin. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
