PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water-repelling film which exhibits an excellent water-repelling property to liquids containing compounds having strong adsorbability, to provide a method for producing the same, and to provide a nozzle plate. SOLUTION: This water-repelling film 100 formed on the surface of an article 18 to be treated is characterized in that at least the surface side of the film is formed of a water-repelling film 102 comprising a single fluorinated alkyl-based silane compound. The water-repelling film 100 can exhibit an excellent water-repelling property to liquids containing relatively strong adsorbability-having compounds such as surfactants or resins.
