PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical fiber cable using hollow pipes for insertion of optical fibers, which pipes are highly flexible, suppress the collapse by side pressure, permit easy insertion of optical fibers, and are stable for a long period even when the optical fiber cable is laid in the state of exposing the hollow pipes outdoors. SOLUTION: The optical fiber cable (6) is provided with one or more hollow pipes (2) to be inserted with optical fiber units (3). The hollow pipes (2) to be inserted with the units (3) are thermoplastic resins having a crosslinked structure of 30 to 80% in the degree of crosslinking. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
