PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the accuracy of concentration measurement of an optically active substance included in a pulsating component in a specimen. SOLUTION: A concentration measurement device 1 is provided with a linearly polarized light output part 10 for outputting linearly polarized light Lb, a rotation angle modulation part 13 for modulating the angle of rotation of the linearly polarized light Lb output from the linearly polarized light output part 10, a luminous intensity detection part 15 for detecting the intensity of transmitted light Ld transmitted across a specimen 100 after optical rotation by an optically active substance in the specimen 100 when the linearly polarized light Lb whose angle of rotation is modulated by the rotation angle modulation part 13 is emitted to the speciment 100, a displacement calculation part for calculating a displacement of the angle of rotation of the transmitted light Ld displaced by pulsation of a pulsating component, according to the angle of rotation modulated by the rotation angle modulation part 13 and the intensity of the transmitted light Ld detected by the luminous intensity detection part 15, and a concentration calculation part for calculating the concentration of the optically active substance included in the pulsating component in the specimen 100, according to the displacement calculated by the displacement calculation part.
