PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic waste treatment equipment and an organic waste treatment method capable of saving energy and space and suppressing the generation of malodor. SOLUTION: The organic waste treatment equipment has a closed type fermentor 1 for containing organic wastes and an oxygen enriching member module 2 constituting a part of the wall materials of the fermentor 1. The module 2 has a characteristic to permeate the gaseous oxygen in outdoor air into the fermentor 1 by the partial pressure difference between the gaseous oxygen in the outdoor air and the gaseous oxygen in the fermentor 1.
