The index for adjusting the hairspring 6 of rectangular cross section comprises a plastics body 2 fixed at 3, 4 to the index member 1. Body 2 has a narrow flexible strip 5 connected at one end 7 thereto, the free end 8 of the strip forming a small angle α with the axis of the balance spindle. This free end can be introduced into a retaining part of the body 2 consisting of a nose 9 and groove 10, the strip then assuming the position 8<SP>1</SP>, and in this position the width of the gap 11 for the hairspring is precisely determined by a part 12 of body 2 against which the strip abuts. The nose 9 is notched at one side to facilitate entry of the strip. |
