MEMORY ACCESS CONTROL UNIT AND CONTROLLING METHOD THEREOF

PURPOSE: A memory access control unit and a controlling method thereof are provided to reduce the load of a microprocessor by performing a writing operation in a half period of a clock signal and a reading operation in the remaining half period of the clock signal. CONSTITUTION: A memory access control unit includes a control unit(11), an input buffer(13), and an output buffer(17). The control unit(11) divides a system clock by a predetermined ratio to generate an LCD clock and generates a control signal necessary to access a frame memory. The input buffer(13) is used for writing picture data into a frame memory in a half period of the LCD clock according to the LCD clock and the control signal of the control unit(11). The output buffer(17) is used for reading the picture data from the frame memory in the remaining period of the LCD clock according to the LCD clock and the control signal of the control unit(11).
