<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical pickup device in which reproducing and/or recording of information on equal to or more than two kinds of optical information recording media is conducted by employing luminous flux having respectively different wavelengths and an incident diameter of laser beams is varied in accordance with the wavelength being used. <P>SOLUTION: In an optical pickup device 1, reproducing and/or recording of information on equal to or more than two kinds of optical information recording media M1 and M2 is conducted by using luminous flux having respectively different wavelengths λ1 and λ2.
