<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate a paper in-feed operation at a rotary press and shorten the overall length of the machine. <P>SOLUTION: The rotary press is equipped with a tension detecting means 22 for detecting the tension of a web 6 installed at an in-feed part 3 between a paper feed part 2 and a printing unit 4. In addition, the rotary press has a motor for driving a rolled paper which drives a take-up roll 10 and a control device which controls the drive of the motor in forward/backward operating directions based on the detection results of the means 22. An in-feed drive roller 19 which comes into contact face to face with an in-feed paper hold-down roller 20 is braked. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
