<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connector for a handrail simple in structure and manufacturable at a low cost. <P>SOLUTION: This connector for the handrail is formed by providing both ends of a bent split tubular body 1 with seats 2, 3, then opening the outer part of the peripheral wall of the body 1 between the seats 2, 3, and covering the opening detachably with a cover 4 continuous with the peripheral wall of the body 1. An insertion piece 5 is extendedly provided at one end of the cover 4, and an engaging protrusion 7 is formed at the tip of an elastic plate 6 extending inward from the other end of the cover 4. The insertion piece 5 is inserted in an insertion hole 8 on one seat 2 side, and the engaging protrusion 7 is engaged with a mortise 9 on the other seat 3 side while bending the elastic plate 6, thus fixing the cover 4 to the body 1. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
