PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make measured values of weight fully proportional to distortion quantity over the whole measurement range. SOLUTION: A linear calibration means 3 is provided to this device to correct the relation of weight to distortion quantity to be linear over the whole measurement range. Thereby, the measured value of weight for a change in distortion quantity detected by a strain gauge 1 changes linearly over the whole measurement range. Accordingly, the final measured value of weight maintains linearity over the whole measurement range even when input/output property of the strain gauge 1 or that of an amplifier 2 does not maintain linearity.
