PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a food cooling system capable of easily, uniformly and speedily cooling food in a short period of time without spoiling the quality of the food. SOLUTION: Cooling air is jetted to the inside of a freezing chamber 10 through a through-hole 13 of a cold storage member 12 from a force feeding channel 14 by actuating a force feeder 15 at the time of quick cooling of the food 55. Consequently, a small diametrical columnar cooling air beam 40 is jetted toward the food 55, and the cooling air beam 40 disturbs a heat transfer laminar film 45 formed in the neighborhood of the surface of the food 55. Consequently, heat transfer resistance between the food 55 and the cooling air by the heat transfer laminar film 45 is lowered to improve the cooling speed. The cold storage member 12 accumulates the cold, and consequently, the cold storage member 12 can supplement and supply necessary cold for an initial stage of cooling.
