PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an integrated combustion method to separate oxygen from a compressed high temperature air flow by an electrochemical separation process, to mix the separated oxygen with exhaust gas and to recirculate it to a device for oxygen-fuel combustion. SOLUTION: The compressed air flow 14 is formed by pressurizing air by a compressor 12, and it is heated up to driving temperature of an oxygen transfer film separator 20. The air introduced to the separator 20 enters the holding side 24, the separated air joins a flue gas flow 46 to sweep the permeating side 26 of the transfer film separator 20 and this oxygen contained sweeping gas flow 30 supports first oxygen-fuel combustion. Oxygen in a combustion product flow 32 produced by this combustion supports second oxygen-fuel combustion generated through combustion of coal in a boiler 2. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
